Maternity & Newborn Photography LeicesterIt can be a daunting task to frame your photographs and get them up on the walls. Which sizes? Which orientations? Canvases or frames? Which frames? Layout, eek! It is easy to see why so many photographs stay on computers for years and never see the light of day. We've all been guilty of not printing the images we purchase form session, its easy to put that USB in a draw and forget about them. We really want you to go home with an Art Piece, something you can treasure for years to come. Something that make people stop in their tracks when they walk into your home and see your image proudly hanging on the wall; or an album your friends/family can look through whilst the tea is brewing. We want you to enjoy your images rather than them being forgotten about. At your ordering session, you will view your images on our 52” screen; we play your images on a video and then go through them and make your selections. We'll arrange and re-arrange to our heart's content, able to see EXACTLY what the art will look like on your walls, at exactly the right sizes, without ever nailing a single hole in the wall. Above, please view a few examples of my pre-designed gallery collections. And if you don't have enough wall space for a gallery, don't fret! Individual photos or canvases make beautiful statements. Another of our clients favourites are Luxury Albums, the fine art album is definitely a piece of art. The feel of the album in your hands alone will wow you. A heavy beautifully printed album with tack sharp images and ultra-thick lay flat pages. I love looking at other photographers wall art collections too, Dawn owns Dawn Matin Photography, she is a newborn baby, family and wedding photographer based in Glasgow. And specialises in bespoke wall art and gorgeous albums and heirloom print boxes.

It’s always such a pleasure to have the opportunity to capture life from the outside. Maternity and pregnancy photography sessions are my favourite To see tiny life growing inside of a lady is something somewhat of a miracle and it truly is one of life’s most beautiful moments. Having a maternity session is a perfect way to document and treasure this journey forever. And what bigger journey to have than creating life! A few weeks back I got the chance to meet and capture these special moments for Khosi and her partner. My main aim is make every woman I see to feel absolutely beautiful with her bump. Khosi was amazing for her session and knew what I wanted her to do before id even asked! Our maternity sessions are tailored to each individual client and all our poses are done in a way to capture the beauty and fine art portraits. I like to ensure that each client is completely comfortable and relaxed with every part and that they always have an idea of how/what happens next. During the session we even got her partner involved and capture some images of them sharing this moment together. Men.. even though we may say it’s ok for you to not be involved but we love nothing more than for you to join in. We capture an array of images which range from bright and colourfully ones, with our special designed tutu’s from Lissi LuLu to the black & white images. Whether it’s indoor or outdoor images you wish to capture this moment in, it’s totally up to you. So why not book a session and take your first steps to capturing this special moment in your life. For more information regarding our maternity sessions please get in touch via our contact us page. At Bumps Baby Beyond we like to capture this precious time between 32/36 weeks pregnant.
Bumps Baby Beyond, Cake Smash Photographer Whetstone, Leicester Well hello little miss Indiya. A few weeks back we welcomed this little cutie into the studio to celebrate her 1st birthday. A child’s 1st birthday is always a huge milestone, there usually starting to try and walk, babbling away and doing all things you never imagined that they’ll do. It always marks a whole year of parenthood. Gosh how many times have you thought back and think how the hell have we lasted a year already? Of course there are so many highs when it comes to your children too. They fill you with love and happiness and a feeling of joy nobody else can give you. Anyhow, we saw Indiya along with her mummy and daddy for her cake smash session at our studio in Leicester. This is a great way to document their first birthday by having lasting memories captured. As for every cake smash session I take the opportunity to capture little ones all clean in specially made outfits so that parents have ‘’normal’’ images to treasure too. For Indiya’s pre cake smash photos we used a variety of outfits including my personal favourite, the lace romper from Pixey Dust Photography Props. For every cake smash session, I tailor the theme/colour to each individual client’s needs. For indiya’s cake smash her mummy chose to have a baby pink/lemon theme with a splash of colour in the background as you can see from these images here. Little Indiya wasn’t one for getting too messy but she gave us lots of gorgeous smiles! I get all of my cakes from Dina's Cake Creations, she always impresses both the customer and myself with her quality! The best way to end a cake smash session is of course a splash in the tub!! This is most children’s favourite part of the session. Not that I think parents don’t allow their children to have a splash but they go wild! I love making them splash as much as possible, so I capture them at what they do best, causing mischief! To see a sample gallery please click here.
HOW TO COMPOSITE NEWBORN IMAGES AND KEEP BABIES SAFEAs a newborn photographer in Leicester, my number one priority in a session is safety! “Compositing” is a very popular technique used by responsible newborn photographers. A composite image involves taking two or more images, and using Photoshop to combine them into one. There are a number of reasons for me composting images and im going to list a few below: 1) Young Siblings We have a number of returning customers last year, bringing with them a toddler and newborn. With this brings a number of safety issues and ones we are very careful with, those beautiful images of toddler next to baby is actually two separate images. With Bumps Baby Beyond we capture your toddler happily gazing down at their teddy/toy in the basket next to them; once we have finished with sibling we capture your newborn safely snuggled in the prop and put the two images together. 2) Certain Poses Sleeping newborns, with such precious little faces, make amazing photographs. Who doesn’t love a pair of chubby cheeks squished strategically between two tiny hands? All poses we carry out during your newborn session are 100% safe, your little one is so used to being curled up in your womb that they may have already been in these positions throughout your pregnancy. When re creating these images I want to insure no weight or pressure is put on your baby. This is why I have an assistant for EVERY session. She is fully trained in newborn safety and I believe this is crucial to running a safe session. The pose below is called the 'Froggy', when done correctly, it really is an adorable image. The entire face is visible, cute little feet are doing out, 10 little fingers and 10 tiny toes. 3) Digital Images Digital images are a brilliant way of adding variety into a gallery or creating stunning pieces of art without your studio bursting at the seems. With these images we capture your baby on a prop we have in the studio and then edit them into an image we already have. 4) Props If a prop is not stable for baby to be left alone in my assistant will always be sat at the side with either her hand just above baby or holding onto baby, here is a full edit of the pose, putting the images together, and then editing the final image I love how each photographer has their own style of editing that makes us all so unique! Amanda Haddow Photography, Newborn Photographer in Victoria, BC. images are crisp and beautiful, and I love her use of colour!
As a newborn baby photographer in Leicester, I had the pleasure to photograph a returning clients niece. I had captured precious moments of her her cousins, their newborn sessions and then their cake smash sessions. I also had the pleasure of photographing Etta's brothers cake smash <3 I was truly honoured when her mummy asked me to document this huge milestone in their lives when they first found out they were expecting...so we've been waiting a whole 7 months to meet their new addition! I always say it is best to secure your session after your 12/20 week scan, this way you are guaranteed to have your memories documented within the first 14 days of your babies life. Mum had chosen to have our full newborn session, which includes both family and sibling images, her brother was amazing for his photos and fantastic with his new sister. We always do what we call a composite images with young siblings, we ask parents to bring a few of their favourite toys so that we can hide them in the props which helps them to look in the right direction and then edit baby into the image after. When we have siblings we move straight onto the family images due to keeping the timing short. After all, whether the siblings are toddlers or older they can get fed up with waiting. We always capture the whole family together and then some single images of baby with each parent. Here is just a hand full of family and sibling images from their session. After we have finished with her brother, her daddy took him to the park so we got straight on with baby Etta’s images. For this we kept mainly with dusky pinks and fairly simple and neutral colours that mum and dad had asked for. You’ve probably seen me write about sentimental items that can be incorporated into images which is exactly what we did for this session. These items included a few teddies’ that Etta had been brought including beautiful wooden letters spelling out her name. I loved doing these images, here’s just a few for you to see. On top of this I always ensure I captured a few images at certain angles so that I can use those images in our digital backgrounds. This creates more images from the same photo but as you can see her are completely different than the rest. This was again another honour to capture baby Etta and her lovely family. I do truly have the world’s most amazing job!! For more information about our newborn sessions please click here.
Maternity & Newborn Session with Bumps Baby Beyond Photography Leicester, East MidlandsFirstly, let me introduce you to Louisa and her Partner, I couldn’t have met a prouder couple. These guys have been together for 10 years, and to mark their special anniversary they booked their maternity session on this date! Here’s just a few from their session however my favourite image is of them both lost in a moment of happiness, its a fun and memorable image, I truly believe this image reflects their personality. Our maternity sessions are held around 32/36 weeks pregnant and are held at my Studio in Whetstone, Leicester just off the M1. I eagerly waiting for their little bundle to arrive, and welcomed this sweet new baby girl in the studio, Rowan. Oh my, what a little love she was. Coming into the studio at 9 days old, this little girlie couldn’t have done a better job on her first day as a little model she was perfect for us and slept the whole 3 hours she was at the studio. Do you wonder how to prepare for your session? This is something that’s taken care of and we provide you with all preparation instructions. I’ll just take the opportunity to explain to you what they are. Prior to the session mum and dad receive a “what to expect guide’’ this includes tips such as; try and keep your baby awake for 2 hours prior to the session to ensure they will be very sleep during the shoot, this makes it easier to move them and position them into various poses without waking them. Also ensuring you feed baby just before you leave for the studio as a full tummy equals to one happy, sleepy baby. My favorite set up was on our wooden backdrop with mum’s favorite animal, an elephant! Don’t worry not the alive type, we wouldn’t be able to fit one through the studio door. Bringing mums favorite animal into this wasn’t even a question. she had brought Rowan a big elephant for in her nursery so that is what we used.I know what you’re thinking, just adorable isn’t she!! We of course captured that first beautiful image as a family and some of both parents on their own. This always makes me smile, you see the love and happiness in the family’s eyes when they are cherishing this little newborn that they’ve been dying to meet for 9 whole months!!
