CAKE SMASH 1ST BIRTHDAY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION LEICESTER

Evening all

So recently I celebrated my daughters 1st birthday by doing a cake smash photo shoot and she loved it. At first she was a little overwhelmed by having this giant cupcake to herself but as soon as she glanced at me and I said ‘mmmmm, yummy yummy’ she dived straight in. Now this little girl is a bit of a neat freak so asked for a spoon when she realised she was starting to get messy! This gorgeous cake was made by Lauren, a good baker I know and she did us proud (I sneaked a piece after the session shhhh!).

I was originally going to go with a pink theme but then seen this gorgeous dress from newborn baby posing and couldn’t resist… everything else then went out the window and purple it was J brought a lovely matching sash from Ditzy Doo Boutique and I was so pleased with it, it co-ordinated perfectly. My two year old was around for this session and he loved helping me to set up…he got brought his own camera from Nanny and its come in very handy! His little grin when he was saying ‘baby say cheeeeeeese’.

After my little munchkin was finished demolishing her cake she took a soak in my roll top bath whilst clapping her hands attempting to say ‘splash splash’. She loves to have a good dunk and what better way to clean off all that icing and cake squished in-between her little toes. 

I then created some birthday invitations and a montage of my favourite images that I will have on a big canvas in her bedroom J

Ohhhh this year has gone far too fast as it doesn’t seem that long ago I was holding her in my arms on the hospital bed staring into her big eyes thinking how perfect she was. Due to my little one having two perforated ear drums I have split her session into two – I will continue her next one once she is feeling a little better as the poor thing was holding her ears most of the time!
