It’s always such a pleasure to have the opportunity to capture life from the outside. Maternity and pregnancy photography sessions are my favourite To see tiny life growing inside of a lady is something somewhat of a miracle and it truly is one of life’s most beautiful moments. Having a maternity session is a perfect way to document and treasure this journey forever. And what bigger journey to have than creating life! A few weeks back I got the chance to meet and capture these special moments for Khosi and her partner. My main aim is make every woman I see to feel absolutely beautiful with her bump. Khosi was amazing for her session and knew what I wanted her to do before id even asked! Our maternity sessions are tailored to each individual client and all our poses are done in a way to capture the beauty and fine art portraits. I like to ensure that each client is completely comfortable and relaxed with every part and that they always have an idea of how/what happens next. During the session we even got her partner involved and capture some images of them sharing this moment together. Men.. even though we may say it’s ok for you to not be involved but we love nothing more than for you to join in. We capture an array of images which range from bright and colourfully ones, with our special designed tutu’s from Lissi LuLu to the black & white images. Whether it’s indoor or outdoor images you wish to capture this moment in, it’s totally up to you. So why not book a session and take your first steps to capturing this special moment in your life. For more information regarding our maternity sessions please get in touch via our contact us page. At Bumps Baby Beyond we like to capture this precious time between 32/36 weeks pregnant.

Bump to Baby SessionWhere do I start with Jaspers newborn session. Firstly, let me start by saying I got to captured him inside his mummy's tummy! Jasper’s mummy came to me to have a maternity session; it was slightly different than the average maternity session as his mummy is a dancer! So we just had to capture her last time in her ballet shoes before Jasper arrived, which he didn’t make his appearance in the world until almost 2 weeks after his due date!! Just to warm and snug inside his mummy. As a Leicester newborn photographer, I like to offer my clients a combined package to be able to capture both their pregnancy and their gorgeous newborn. Both times are so precious and go so quickly. It's a real honor to capture these moments for mums&dads alike to treasure for years to come. I always keep in contact with my clients to ensure I know when little one has arrived and to ensure we can get them in as soon as possible. In the maternity session we used our gorgeous tutus from the talented Samantha Astill of Lissi Lu Tutus and incorporated mum’s ballet shoes into the images to make for the perfect dancer’s theme. After all mum won’t get the chance to have those images captured like that again. On to the session its self, we managed to capture as much as possible but baby jasper had other ideas, the cheeky monkey. He has been the most alert forward baby we have ever had in the studio, and was a good weight of 9lb 9oz at his session. On saying that we still managed to get some perfect images and even using our brand new outfit; the bear romper!! Couldn’t you just give him a big cuddle with how much cuteness this image really is?!?!
Jasper is truly our very first studio bear!! There has been a lot of firsts for this session, which is truly an honor for us. Hello gentlemen, my names Bea and I'm going to let you in on a little secret - what women want more than chocolates and perfume is a way to document and treasure their journey in life. And what bigger journey than having a baby! She's the "memory keeper" of your household, snapping every photo she can with her phone and arranging pretty photo albums in her spare time or agonising over which images to frame and hang on the wall. Perhaps she has hinted on more than one occasion she'd love a professional photo session to capture those precious images of your little baby when they arrive. 5 Ways To Tell She Secretly Wants A Maternity Photoshoot: Sign #1: She treasures the beauty in life and wants her home to radiate the love of her family. With dreams of the perfect nursery filling her pinterest boards, she wishes there were more hours in the day to decorate and arrange your home environment. You may find her balanced precariously on a chair trying to fit a new light-shade, or at the weekend, frantically trying to make that old chest of drawers "shabby chic - because I want this house to look perfect before our baby arrives!" Sign #2: She takes "selfies" of her bump in the mirror, measuring her progress and counting down the days until baby arrives with cute little phone aps... in fact, it's hard for her to talk or think about anything else right now. Sign #3: Even though she's excited for the birth of your baby, she is nervous too. She asks herself a thousand "what-ifs" every day and finds it hard to talk or think about anything else other than her pregnancy. She is often in bed awake at night, googling labour and birth and wishes there were more scans in pregnancy, just so she could know everything is ok. Sign #4: She worries her bump is making her look less attractive to you. She uses terms like "when I get my body back" or "I just feel so uncomfortable right now". She doesn't know what to wear and feels more vulnerable than she's ever felt in her life. She cries a lot more easily now-a-days, which you're not used to! Sign #5: Ok, this is more about you than is is her ;-) You want to find a way to show her how beautiful she is. Right now. You want her to see herself through your eyes. You want her to know how immensely proud you are of her for carrying your child. You want her to know that you get scared sometimes too, but you can't show it as you're the strong one right now.

BUMPS BABY BEYOND - NEWBORN AND MATERNITY PHOTOGRPAHER LEICESTERNot everyone wants to be photographed when pregnant, it’s a very vulnerable time for some, your body is changing, your hormones are all over the place and you’re more than likely tired…very tired! BUT this is such a special time in your life, a milestone and one to be remembered. If not for you, then for your baby in years to come. I always get excited when I get new props, and I love the way the split maternity gowns fall over ladies bumps. Personally I think there’s a radiance that seems to shine on a pregnant lady, no matter how far gone they are there’s just this health glow about them and Tanya definitely had this! Tanya emailed me about what the session entails, what sort of items she should wear and asking if we could capture some images including her partner and daughter. After us discussing different options Tanya decided she wanted to take the more concealed approach, and this is something I welcome, as I said everyone feels differently in their pregnancy! We spokes some more and I shared some images with her, once she felt more confident with me she changed her views on what sort of images she wanted. Of course I welcomed this and I was over the moon when I received an email saying she would like to try some images wearing my new lace dress and she loved the idea of adding some colour. I loved this not due to the fact of what she now wanted to wear but the fact she felt comfortable enough to do so; I believe strongly in gaining a working relationship with my clients and respect ALL of their wishes! Tanya had seen an images like this on Pintrest (always a good source of ideas!) and as it was one of the first ones she sent me we gave it our best shot and I’m extremely happy with the outcome. The little outfit Tanya is holding has huge sentimental value for their family, it was actually the outfit her late granddad brought for her first daughter and is something she can’t wait to put the new addition in. I hope this image is a constant reminder that her granddad is with them at all times! Ahhhh proud mummy and daddy – I cannot wait to see this family again when their new addition Lilly arrives :) Tanya's Review ~ Had a great photo shoot, made my family feel welcome and myself feel at ease considering I had photos done that I wouldn't normally but felt so calm and comfortable. Very patient with my little girl also and adjusted photos to put her in them for me as she wasn't willing. Great experience cant wait for my photos and for my next shoot x ~ Both maternity gowns made by Little Dee-Lights and can't recommend them highly enough!
It gives me great pleasure to announce Bumps Baby Beyond has teamed up with Pregnancy Art by Cassandra Stephens. Sandra creates truly eye capturing designs which are created around your unique requirements. You would have a pre session consolation to go over colour schemes, design ideas and themes, this will allow us to create a bespoke painting for you. The session: Session timings will depend on what sort of design we are planning, your time frame will be given to you when we have the pre-session consultation. Once we have confirmed the image it will be hand painted onto your growing bump. When to have them done: Pregnancy Art is usually done around 32 weeks as the canvas is usually big enough but you are not 'too' uncomfortable. However we do offer a three stage bump painting session - this includes three separate paintings, painted at each stage of your pregnancy around week 18, week 26 and week 34. The idea is to have a growing image J It could be a seed, sapling, blossomed tree... caterpillar, cocoon then a butterfly, a jigsaw slowly revealing your baby or even a growing baby starting at your scan photo! Having the split images would make a fabulous wall art piece - we should embrace our baby bellies and being pregnant. You don’t need to have ‘perfect’ skin, Pregnancy Art is suitable for all, if you’re feeling a bit deflated about your changing body and pregnancy scars then what better way to celebrate that there’s life growing inside you and what your body is currently doing IS amazing and is something to be proud of. Just so you are aware you will not be able to see stretch marks once your bump is painted.
Please rest assure the paints that we use are specifically designed for the use on the face and body and conform to EC standards for cosmetics. We are currently doing a facebook offer to celebrate Bumps Baby Beyond and Pregnancy Art coming together to offer a complete service. The limits are endless so please contact us to book a session. Hello All I’ve had a lovely start to the New Year with a maternity portrait session yesterday – what a better way to celebrate then photographing someone with a new life inside of them! There is always lots of work taking place behind the scenes here and it’s very satisfying when orders are completed and received by happy families. Thank you for all the wonderful feedback and comments, they are very much appreciated. I strive for a high standard in my products and finished images with care and time taken to prepare each one individually. Photographs are a glimpse into our memories and ones that can be looked on for years to come. It’s a privilege to be asked to capture pregnancy portraits and it is one of the most enjoyable parts of my work particularly as these are so often part of my maternity and newborn photography packages so I get to return to meet the new arrival shortly after! I realise that this is a very personal time in peoples lives and I feel lucky to be a part of that for a brief moment to create a lasting memory. Stunning top from Newborn Baby Posing These photos were taken at my home venue in Whetstone, Leicester, which is ideal for the messy sessions like the glitter and paint we used! We tried to incorporate the colours and theme to match the sex of her baby and of course…red matches her hair J
