Welcome to the world little man…last week I had the pleasure of photographing baby Harry and capturing this beautiful boys first images. Morgan was so very sweet with his baby brother. He came to my venue in Whetstone, Leicester during his first 2 weeks of life and he was a star!
We started with props…props and more props :D Harry loved being sung in them and posing with his brother, mum and gran. I always ask client to pick a prop and I usually choose another as I receive new things all the time so it is so nice for the clients to get to be the first models on new props. If sibling shots aren’t going to be done I aim to do 4 different set ups with props then move onto the blanket ones. With young siblings I have to try and be a little more creative to ensure the newborn is safe at all times. For this particular image I photographed baby Harry in the prop earlier then we had big brother sit next to the empty prop and then I photoshopped them together afterwards.
As we've been having such lovely weather recently, I decided to edit one with more of a summery feel and a few (OK a little more than a few!) bluebells!
Below is a pose Id been wanting to try for a few sessions but I finally took the plunge and look how it turned out…this sweet little baby dreaming upon a cloud! People ask me all the time where I buy my fabric from, I get a lot from photography vendors like Newborn Baby Posing which is where this brown fabric is from but I also buy online such as Fabric.com. I always make sure there is enough stretch to keep them wrinkle free so spend less time editing creases out.
I just love getting those simple yet effective parent and family shots, there’s something so raw and emotional about the connections captured in those moments!
And now for a few close ups...
