BEAUTIFUL INDI - 8 DAYS NEWAw my heart just melts for this little beauty! Meet Indi who came to us for her newborn session at 8 days new and she was honestly a little dream to photograph. I was able to get through a variety of props, family pose’s and some dreamy beanbag ones :) We started with the beanbag and as Indi was in a deep sleep and a natural curly baby I decided to start with the froggy pose. This pose is done as a composite and is only safe to do so if your newborn photographer has had extensive training in this field (please follow this link to see the training I have obtained). Whilst Indi was in this position her head was being held by my assistant, I then proceeded to take some photos and came back to support her. My assistant then held her arms whilst again I stepped back to capture some more photos so she was being held at all times. After these two are taken they are then put together in Photoshop to give the appearance that no one is holding her. This pose to many s like marmite, parents ether LOVE it or don’t, it’s a personal favorite of mine as all 10 toes, their tiny little fingers and their cute little faces are in frame but I always make sure parents would like this before I assess if baby will easily go into this position. From there I put Indi into the side lying pose and shortly after this she decided she wanted to keep a watchful eye on me so I decided to wrap her hehe. No baby can resist the potato sack pose, as soon as they are wrapped they drift off into a deep sleep and it is from this point on that Indi didn’t wake again until we undressed her for her family session! Whilst she was sound asleep I transferred her into a few different prop setups to ensure we got variety in her gallery, something I’m always aiming to get. With the help of Indi’s beautiful parents we managed to capture some stunning family photos, this being my favorite!
