Baby Kara's Newborn Photography Session Leicester - 8lb 4ozThis month there has been a baby boom, we've been blessed to capture lots of newborn sessions in Leicester. It’s true what midwifes say September is the month of babies! We had lots of arrivals some early, some late and even some on time. One of which was baby Kara. Baby Kara was born on the 16th of September weighing 8lb 14oz. She came to visit us at 13 days old. We always do a pre consultation with our mummies and daddies, and therefore we knew that Kara’s mummy wasn’t a huge fan of pink therefore we used a variety of mints, burgundy and neutral colours to compliment the colours in their home. First, we started with our beanbag poses as baby Kara was happy and settled; although most think they don’t look like your average position believe or not babies sleep better in them. This is because they are naturally in these positions in the womb, and within the studio we ensure that it is lovely and warm and have our shusher. This is a little machine that creates white noise to help settle and sooth baby. With all these being in place babies tend to feel safe and snug and exactly how it once was in the womb which they spent a whole 9 months in! Moving on form our beanbag poses we started with props. With mum prefer neutral colours we stuck with simple props and colours. One of which was our bed. This has proved popular to be able to add little keepsake teddies too. Here you can see two little octopuses and a monkey which were made by Kara’s nanny. All of which were something sentimental to Kara and her mummy and daddy. We decided this year to do something slightly different than recent years and came up with this. We love it…what do you think?!? We finished the session with some images of Kara in daddy's arms.
