BABY BELLEIt was an absolute pleasure to see this lovely family again. I photographed Amy in my home studio when she came for her mummy and me maternity session some months back. This year I have seen a huge amount of returning clients which makes my heart very happy it means I did a great job first time around and it is always nice to see familiar faces, and there’s nothing I love more than seeing a family grow! We kept her maternity session simple and timeless and injected some is a colour into her newborn session. Little belle was only 5 days new at her session, I was honoured when asked to photograph her as Amy is a dear friend of mine. This meant I could cuddle her that little bit longer and sneak in the odd kiss here and there hehe! Belle’s big brothers were out the day of session and we focused purely on her, we managed to get some close up details of those gorgeous long eyelashes she has, those tiny toes and button nose. In Amy’s pre-consultation we discussed what colour schemes she liked and what colour images would go with her room set up. We decided to keep things colourful with beautiful purples, we added texture with lovely multi coloured curled fabrics and used lace backdrops. When a client likes the use of colour I always suggest doing a neutral set up as well. Little Belle definitely made us work for the images but I am not shy of hard work especially when we get everything the client wanted from the session. If there is a certain pose they have seen on my website I always try and capture individual wishes. The only thing to determine whether this happens is the star of the show and what they are comfortable with. Some babies naturally fall into poses and others are more sensitive to touch and like being wrapped…this little lady certainly preferred being wrapped! Anyway enough about that, I have decided to do something different this time and instead of inserting images into this blog I have uploaded a little slideshow containing a few of the images from her session.
